Too clumsy is more like it.

They must have come into contact with him somewhere. Possibly
Greenbelt or one of the other festivals, since I know Steve Taylor
hits those. Seen his 'Greenbelt '88 on Super 8' video? LOL

Since all we can do is speculate wildly....

I would like to think that they didn't exclude him on purpose. I'd
guess they just started writing together (remember, this is also the
time of the blossoming romance btw L & K), and decided to do it
stripped down, in the aftermath of the IRS thing. From listening to
the GDBD tracks, you can easily tell that (for better or for worse),
the songs were 95% finished when they were placed in Ric's hands.
They didn't really leave any room for a guitar part. Thus, he was
left to squeeze in what he could...mostly just textures.

FWIW, I think Ric is great at creating texture in a song.

Again, we don't really know the true motives. Maybe it was
unintentional, and Ric was just dissatisfied with being cut out of the
songwriting. Maybe it was a way to assume more control. You also
have to take into account that if the band is seen as a democratic
process, the marriage of Linfor & Karin drastically changed voting
patterns. ;-)

;-) Hey...did everybody hear that? I was right, for once.

Did I say this. I think I meant to say 'folk/pop'...it's been a long
week.

;-Þ I think you were trying to relive our *last* discussion about
OTR guitarists before Jack found his "voice" in the band.

>hey, let's do the top five cd's of the week, month, whatever, deal again.

Yikes.

Almighty Allah, this is a tremendous album.

What tour?

I'll put a twist on it...here's the last 5 CDs I've purchased (in the
last week or so)
