howdy list,
it's been a long week. i've been writing papers, big downside to
graduate school- writing papers about things that don't matter. bleah.
but i'm better now and i'm back.
i read all 85 emails from wed-saturday in one sitting. my eyes are
becoming squarish and glowing blue...
i'm full of coffee and m&m's, plus i woke up early and watched "the
box" for an hour or so. "the box" is this all requaest rap video
channel in chicago. it's not as good as "rap city" on BET but i don't
have cbale anymore, so i have settle for analog tv over radio waves...
but i saw some happeneing videos. rappers make such surreal videos. i
would love to linford make a rap video out of "jack's valentine."
picture it: he's cruising in a big cadillac hooptie, with the neon
lights and the hydraulics that make the car go up and down, swiging on
a 40 oz of schlit's malt liqour, bobbing his head up and down, sayin
"help me find my table..."
then the video cuts to a house party and lin-dog and his girl, k-rin
are dancing slow-jam style. lin-dog's got his groove on and he's
*still" holding that 40 oz. he waves his hands in tha air (like he
just don't care) and his boy brian comes up and gives him props.
there's a cameo appearance from grandmaster flash to let everybody
know that lin-dog could kick it old school if he wanted to.
then lin-dog is rushed off in a helicopter, chased by fat, white cops.
but he gets away.
the video ends in a room with glowy lights and oversized chrome
furniture. busta-rhymes is there making howly noises, and five or six
fly girls dressed in mostly nothing and some flimsy aluminum foil to
cover the "r" rated parts dance all nasty and to end it all, puffy,
who remixed the song for OtR and released a cd single of the remixes
on bad boy records, comes out and tags on an unrelated remake of a bad
80's song, such as "hungry like a wolf." only he raps it. and lin-dog
is *still* holding the 40 oz.

my fiancee says i have to go. it's dinner time.
