i was there. and you're right; they did a *great* job w/gollum. but i had 
some issues w/it:

1. i was sitting WAY too close (3rd row). so i got very little idea of the 
scope of the battle scenes (which still managed to be amazing).

2. i'm a purist. i thought they took too many liberties. 'nuff said, before 
i give anything away.

but other than that...omigosh. incredible. i leaned over and said to my 
friend, "if i ever acted in this movie. i'd want to be eowyn. she's cool. 
bitter, but cool."
