I'm still coming down from my otr weekend - i drove up to calvin last thursday, and then back to chicago for the schuba's show on saturday.

michael - i'm the one who bought your otr cards on ebay, and i never made the connection, or i would have stopped by the table saturday night to say thank you and hello.

the calvin show was AMAZING - one of the best i've ever seen.  they were just ON, and such a great mix of tunes.  whoever said jack sounds like elvis costello, you are so right.

but the schuba's show... i don't know what it was, but i was disappointed.  they were lacking some sort of energy, and seemed generally to be in a bad mood - not that i can blame them after their truck experience, but it definitely showed.  and they didn't really converse with the crowd, which was very fun at calvin.  

BUT, i love schuba's, and i love standing a foot from the stage.  whole different experience.  i've always loved seeing them there.  

anyway, those are just my random thoughts...
