i think dialogue is probably one of the best ways we
can hash it out, even just for ourselves. if we don't
have others challenging and giving input, things can
get pretty warped.

why is it not appropriate for us to discuss the topic?
you didn't condemn off-topic posts (whatever that
means?:)!), so what's the main concern?

i really respected the sensitive intention of
katherine's email, asking if we could have some list
in addition to this one where thoughtful christians
twists would be "acceptable." this is thoughtful
considering that otr's music effects a such a wide
audience. but no one seems to ask, "well can we do
another list with otr discussions which _exclude_ any
thoughtful christian reference/twists." i wonder why
that is????

certainly not a flame, i hope :) i don't know if
that's what was sincerely hoped for or not, but i will
say that the attention i'm giving here is not
personal. a lot of criticism has been generated b/c
of being "tired" of certain themes. telling
christians to take it outside is probably the one that
gets played out for me (since we're allowing soapboxes
and all).
