thanks for the heads up.  will have to keep an eye out
for this one, though it sounds like it's a canada only
kind of thing like city of glass.

actually, i think the opposite is true.  he's trying
to write a "real" book, with all the literary
trimmings and has gotten away from his strengths.  he
was always chastised for not really writing novels and
i think he's made a more conscious decision to become
a "real" writer and it's hurt him.  his last couple
haven't been what i would call couplandesque books.

just my thoughts.
