Re: throwing rocks down the hill

Well, in the first place, Fred, I've always had respect for your views and the way you've stated them, so I'm going to assume I just hit a nerve with you. I reread my post a few times, and I don't think it was as snap-worthy as you seemed to.

Second, it wasn't my intention to offend anyone. And I do understand that we have new people on the list-- especially now. I also understand that in the FAQ everyone used to get upon subscribing, there was an explanation that we'd had the are-they-aren't-they debate so many times that it was respectfully requested that if anyone wanted to debate it further, they take said debate offlist. So I know I can't be alone in my frustration.

Third, if you look at the discussion threads over the last month or so, the theology/Christianity to music ratio is heavily skewed towards the former. And I see the same discussions starting over and over again. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with those discussions. I'm just saying I have a certain quiet sigh echoing around. I've tried to skim and skip, but then I find I've missed something relevant to OtR that someone else references in a later post, and it gets difficult to follow a thread sometimes.

So, fourth, I did indeed ask a question I'd been pondering and try to start another thread. I'm net-saavy enough to know that much, at least.

And last, I wouldn't call your ideas and your feelings imbecility, and it'd be nice to have the same respect shown mine. I didn't insult you or your religion, I just expressed frustration with the discussion itself. That's all.

PS: I'm a good shot, normally, but I have a lousy arm. I can't even throw a ball, much less a rock.
