2000 recommendations?
did anybody out there get anything by
the bands Sigúr Rós or Ida?
SIGUR ROS is from iceland... and all
of the reviews that i've read have
been FABULOUS. apparently, their
music is very soundscapish. they
bought some old house with an antique
swimming pool (or something) to
record their record in- weird. maybe
i'm remembering wrong, but i think
that's the story.
also, they sing partially in icelandic
(or whatever it's officially called),
but also part in some language/dialect
that they made up themselves.
as for IDA, i just always see them
lumped in with the like of Radiohead,
Sunny Day Real Estate, Travis, Remy
Zero, etc... anybody heard IDA and
have a recommendation?
