Re: OtR live - once? twice? 10+X?
Was meaning to jump into this thread when it first developed, but for a number of reasons have held off 'til now. Given that when I first formed an appreciation for OtR there was no indication that they'd ever play out here in California, I've seen them far more than I would've expected. Here's where I stand:
11/22/97 - Westminster Lanes, Westminster, CA
11/23/97 - Alligator Lounge, Santa Monica, CA
8/20/98 - (opening for Cowboy Junkies) Royce Hall, UCLA, Westwood, CA
11/24/98 - (opening for Cowboy Junkies) Club Caprice, Redondo Beach, CA
3/20/99 - Canal Street Tavern, Dayton, OH
3/21/99 - Canal Street Tavern, Dayton, OH
9/11/99 - Moonlight Gardens, Cincinnati, OH
2/18/00 - Paradox Theater, Seattle, WA
2/19/00 - Paradox Theater, Seattle, WA
4/7/01 - American Legion Hall, Hollywood, CA
12/7/01 - Taft Theatre, Cincinnati, OH
2/10/02 - Sutherland Hall, Biola University, La Mirada, CA
And that's it so far, FWIW. That makes 10x for OtR as headliner and twice as openers for CJ. Which were most memorable? I'd have to say first, the very first time I saw them at Westminster Lanes, just because it was the first time. Secondly, the Canal Street shows in March of '99 because it was there that I first had a substantial run-in with all you listie-folk. Each show, of course, has its own memories, but those would be the top two.

don't know exactly but 10+ definitely. Probably somewhere around 20.
