Re: To all, from Linford

OtR, et all

Hmmmm.. dilemmas, dilemmas.

Well I have always been pleased with what you (OtR) have put out musically,
whether independentally or with a record label (i.e. IRS.) The thought of OtR
becoming "mainstream" frightens me tho. And unfortunately I think that would
happen when on a major record label. Being on a major label would be the best
as far as success for the band, but I would hate to think of the songs being
played over and over again into the ground (i.e. WallFlowers - One Headlight,
etc.) that you get so sick of the song. And as Karin said, honestly I would
not like to hear the songs coming from a radio station such as Q102 (Cincy
folks know who Im referring to) next to a beach volleyball net. It just doesnt
seem like the OtR image I have always had and hope to maintain. I would love
to see OtR become a success and become more known in the music industry, but
not at the cost of the music quality. And being on a major label, I feel, that
the quality and the true "guts" of OtR would be overshadowed. Im rather fond
of the way things are now.

Just my two cents.
