in a very miniscule portion of practicing catholics,
peter, agreed?  :)  i mean, i did 17 years of catholic
school and was in the church until 1985 or so, and
blood and wounds just wasn't at the forefront.

gibson is not a mainstream catholic.  i wouldn't doubt
he beat his head against the wall in the early 90s
when "the church" pardoned galileo.  but he (gibson)
obviously is a clever marketer.
