I must respectfully disagree.

While speculation about personal drama would be rude, I think everyone
here has reacted appropriately by expressing respect for their decision
and concern for their life situations.

I think it would be inappropriate for us to ignore something Linford
himself titled "Important news".

If you yourself feel called to refrain from comment, feel free to do so.
