morphine

hey folks -

i don't know how "underground" they were outside of
the mid-atlantic/northeast, so just fwiw... as an
afterthought, i picked up morphine's recently released
best of a few weeks ago and it's actually warring
against *ohio* for disc player time at the current.

really interesting stuff - "unique" gets bandied about
frequently with music, but i think they really were. 
or maybe it's just me at the moment -
self-deprecating, self-loathing, whiteboy dirt-bag
minimalist jazzfunk sounds pretty cool right now.
