Patience...

Hi all

In light of my lack of Ohio due to lack of money (I'll be ordering as soon
as my wages are in!),  I thought I'd relate another ordering tale.

About 2 years ago I espied OTR's 'Patience' for sale on a mainstream UK
music retailer's website.  As I only own a UK debit card, and so can't order
direct from America, I was thrilled at the prospect of getting hold of this
CD.

I placed my order, and waited...

and waited some more...

occasionally checking the order status, which remained at 'ordering from
manufacturer'...

ever the optimist, I eagerly awaited progress, but...

Finally, a year on from placing the order, I got an email informing me that
the CD was no longer available.  I just wonder whether anyone else noticed
how appropriate the CD title was!

Incidentally, about the same time I ordered 'The Darkest Night of the Year'
from a UK import specialist.  This went through the same sort of delay -
'ordering from manufacturer'.  After a bewildering 18 months, and having
resigned myself to the conclusion that it would likewise be unavailable,
they finally got hold of a copy!  That's gotta be the longest wait ever for
an OTR CD - anyone waited longer?
