I don't even know where to start with whether an artists appearnce matters
or not but I'll try......LOL(never at a loss for words)
As I stumbled across our lovely little band(OTR)a mere 15 months ago and
bought my first CD(Films)I had no idea what Karin looked like.Upon opening
the CD I remember thinking to myself...hmmm She looks "frumpy"
for having such a nice unique voice...LOL Let's face it the first photo
you see when opening the FFR CD booklet is hardly flattering and to be
honest I never and even noticed the one in the center of booklet where
a slightly more attractive photo of Karin is ruined by the center crease!One
of the problems with the CD era as opposed to all of us older folks that can
remember studying full album cover fronts,backs,and insides 20 yrs.ago.
Anyway the first time I had ever seen her was when she walked onstage in
Wheaton,and I remember "hearts floating around my head" like you see in
cartoons.I already had liked SOME of the music but NOW after seeing this
goddess walk on stage I wanted learn,read,hear every note she had
recorded,and especially every word she had written! I almost felt like they
had gone out of thier way
to HIDE Karin's beauty just to let the music live or die on it's own.Well
that's sad because you can market the physical beauty as well
as the aural beauty.It helps people to put a face to a song especially
one as beautiful as Karins'. I know mine and every male OTR fans' heart
skips a beat when Karin takes the stage,thinking"so classy" so sexy" so
"REAL" and humble.To be honest if she looked like Rosie O'Donnell I don't
know if I would of ever been that excited to hear the music and that would
be sad because I'd be missing some great music!...LOL
