I have. Very good movie, though you do have to be a fan of Wim Wenders
to like it-- I've noticed Wenders is one of those "love-him-or-hate-him"
types of directors like David Lynch. Personally I think he does gorgeous
work. Did you know that the movie "City of Angels" was based on a
Wenders movie "Wings of Desire" ?
Anyway, I was quite impressed with MDH, with the beautiful film making
and with Bono's screenplay. I head that Mel Gibson hated the movie, but
that doesn't surprise me. I was also quite taken with the soundtrack--
the first song on it, 'The Ground Beneath Her Feet' is a U2-Salman
Rushdie collaboration.

our public transportation is lousy. It is the reason our cities sprawl
idiotically all across the map. It is the reason our word processing
programs stink and our prescription drugs cost more than anywhere else.
In order that a fortunate few might enjoy a kind of prosperity unequaled
in human history, the rest of us have had to abandon ourselves to a
lifetime of casual employment, to unquestioning obedience within an
ever-more arbitrary and despotic corporate regime, to medical care
available on a maybe/maybe-not basis, to a housing market interested in
catering only to the fortunate. "
