wowee, i forgot about this. typically, i have 2 to 10 messages per day in
my box, not counting the poops who want me to refinance my mortgage or sign
me up for another mastercard or invite me to view people having sex in some
sort of uniform, and now suddenly i'm doing sixty some messages per day.
ha! i'm popular again!

and then there's the happy ego-stroking, and let's be honest. who doesn't
like that?

i was gonna delete mark's list until i realized that there was no need to.
it stands equally well for me, though maybe i'd trade ron for dar (three
letters, even shares the "r"). and there's more, too, but yeah, this
list has been good to me in that regard (and other regards).

oh, yeah. for everyone here, i'd wager.

speaking of moniker changing: it's only a suspicion, i'm new here and
could be wrong, but is kyle masquerading as WS ? (hi, kyle).

i have peeked in through the cracked doorway of the actwin.com archives from
rare time to time, and i knew that i hadn't gotten this list out of my
system when i had a compelling need to see how my ----wrong word, but i'll
use it anyway---- 'family' here was doing and saying the night of 9-11, and
i saw that chris was just being chris. my eyes rolled, i said "oh,
chris." not, "oh, christ" but that could have come out equally well.
but yeah, i had to check in. then the two linford letters from the
announcement list. so thanks for the caps locked welcome, mark.

cue sally field.

oh, ~this~ is the meaning of serendipity!!

amyjoy eversole (!!!) says:

jg (and db, of course) asked (among other perceptive questions, as usual):
>And whatever happened to Amy, who got changed into a
>rat? Did Willow de-rat her? We never got any Amy closure.

ok. i may be making assumptions, but i'm guessing that i'm the amyjoy
you're talking about, since i did indeed become a rat and pretty much just
stopped talking to all of you. i'm sorry, dear jg! of course, you could
mean another amy entirely (is amy romania still around?), but who else
shares my unconditional love for willow? anyway, you've gotten me to step
out of the shadows again...

oh, how i love amyjoy e.!! what an unexpected surprise in my box to hear
from her since her mission overseas.
but, amy, no, you have it all wrong. you're forgiven of course, because
iirc, you didn't even own a tee-vee when you lived in cinty, much less
are you likely to get buffy the vampire slayer and / or the spin-off show
angel in (where?) india.

but coincidentally, in your over the rhine related life, yes, there's a
willow (karin's dog) of course, but that's also a character in __buffy__,
who......well, nevermind most of it, but she put another character named
amy in a cage to keep her safe, and that amy isn't you ~or~ amy romania (i
also hope she's still aboard). and no, you're not a rat and never will be,
but i do kinda miss you. how's the mission? aren't we saving
prostitutes? i might have forgotten slightly, you know how i am. and
how are ~you~? happy?

amy then asks: otr content...to anyone who's been at recent shows--what are
your thoughts
on kim taylor, the opening act? i like that girl.

i didn't catch the name of the woman i heard last night. assuming it was
she, she was more than pleasant. sorry though, i fell victim to opening
act indifference, if truth be known. yes, my bad.

so good to hear from you.

i'm sure someone else will provide a good setlist... but
i have to say i am thoroughly grateful we got to hear
latter days, poughkeepsie, bothered, anything at all,
jack's valentine, rhapsodie, AND gillian welch's orphan
girl... ahhh. nearly every one of my favorites. so i'm
going to bed happy tonight.

i didn't actually "meet" her, but judging from something jessyka said at
about the same time she was upstairs with us, i think i got an eye full of
who she is, and if i'm right, from the oft-appearing wide smile on that
girls face, i think she wasn't lying when she said she went to bed happy.
blonde hair, blue top? floor seats? directly in front of the counter
window? and remember the emery theorem? holds fast.

losties, ex-losties, losties once removed in attendence at the brady gig:
alyssa, dm, heather, jeff, rebecca, jen, chris, katherine, and damn, it
was warm enough for that u2 shirt after all. listie lost.

i saw a face i know from the grocery store.

i scored a hug from a delightful chick in the best sweater i've ever seen.

i went to bed happy too. you're all wondering, "jg, how could you have
been happier? what would have improved your evening?"
well, i'll tell ya, and this is how we segue into the sartorial segment
of today's missive: before the gig, karin was wandering around in a
lovely old blue top, something-tech if i remember right from the shoulders,
and a big number, maybe 77 or so, in scholasic letters. you can picture
it. but don't picture "old" as worn and threadbare, though it may have
been. the word your mind wants to wrap around is "vintage". the
connotations are better. what a nice old comfy shirt that must have been.
i'd like one myself. just before the show, she slipped that off and
pulled on a red tye-dyed shirt. granted, you might want to look your
best when playing in front of a capacity crowd of hungry (did you see how
many plates? yay bonny!) kentites, but i felt that the scholastic shirt
had a charm factor that outweighed the tie-dyed shirt's style factor.
again, that's just me, and i'm a little twisted.

(karin, we love you and feel free to wear any damn thing you want)

i can see a letter from linford. " i'm sorry, we're going to pull the
plug on this list. we almost did it when the emerypost came, but we
decided to give it one more chance. the last straw came down when jg
secondguessed karin's choice of outfit. this list must be euthanized,
it's clearer than ever to me. love, linford."

well, let's hope i'm not being prophetic. better to qwit while i'm ahead.

qwitting now.

ooops, no. not qwitting just yet. speaking of sartorial splendor: jeff
and bec: take me shopping with you!!!! damn, can these people choose
clothes!

(i'm having fun again!)
