I just had to change the subject line--(was the christian vs pagan thread)
Rhonda sed:
>I do Pray with candles and I do say "Blessed
Be."...it
>means "Be Blessed". It's one of the kindest things
>that
you can say/Pray...
Well then I'm confused, because you've been ending
all your
e-mails with "Blessings" and every thing from
chicken biscuits
to hard as nails dripping molten glass bubbling
diamonds dipped in sugar
and coated with a crunchy layer of song
quotes...
I guess I just don't understand your
perspective--
especially when you say "blessings and I'm a
slut w/ a mission"
I know it's an otr quote, and I know it can
mean different things
to different people, but I hardly think it goes
with
"one of the kindest things you can
say/pray"
It took me about two days to just figure out that
you were mixing "Blessings" with
"whatever"
I don't intend to sound mean, but often I
do.
so with that said here's *my*
perspective.
Coming from a "christian POV" myself
I think I can honestly say that any
kind
of unilateral statements, although
sincere
and honest, can often times hit like a
louisville slugger more than like "Blessings
and cornpone." ;o) I also believe in tact more
than
I belive in proselytizing. Without the
first,
You aren't going to have very much success
with the latter.
I may sound condescending, but I'm
just
going out on a limb to tell you how
you come across to me.
once again, I know your intentions are
pure, but I don't think you realize how
you're
coming across at times.
