Like 'em or loathe 'em, I bought the new Cowboy Junkies CD, "Open", which 
PROMINENTLY features Karin and Linford as guests throughout the CD.  Karin's 
vox, always welcome.  Linford's organ is awesome.  (double entendre not 
intended, you dirty homophobes.)

It's a dirth of standard boring "slow-burn" Cowboy Junkies, but the 
production is really crisp and there are a few surprises.  Some of the 
guitar seems noisier than anything I've e'er heard from them.  And the radio 
emphasis track "I'm So Open" is rockin until the half tempo middle 8 bit.  
You can hear this fine track on the July CMJ, but it's a good indicator of 
the album's fine production.
