extremely. i do not doubt for one second that my
local independent radio station received many requests
for gdbd tracks a few years back (and never played
them), whereas they played 'give me strength' after
the recent release almost always with the intro caveat
'we know there are fans of this band around here'
SOLELY b/c of some sort of x'ian "stigma."
ridiculous. as i think i indicated, i just find it
genuinely interesting that christian folk dig this
same music that i never really would have thought to
create such an interest within that community. i like
churches. they've been known to repair parts of
cities. cities, even. as a disillusioned scholstic
person and currently getting-out-of-debt capitalist
maggot, i find that idea incredibly soothing. hell,
my only major beef with religion in general is the
catholic demand of chastity upon its priests, a
draconian mindset that put one in the slammer for 7
who was my priest in sixth grade. no one could
understand why i did not want to be an altar boy. i
call it damn good instincts. (then there was one in
high school who ended up jetting down to FL... shaking
my head... i'm sure the extradition was just too damn
complicated).

and that's what probably makes it easy for me not to
think much about my own "birthright to being
christian," but it doesn't help otr's extremely sorry
receptance from a station i really like, but am not
sure if i can altogether respect.
