I have an advance copy of that book. I didn't even bother to read it until
the hype had really taken hold.

Darn! I could have taken advantage of all the mail-in offers ahead of
everyone else, had I only known!
I was kinda eh about the book when I finally finished it - there's
thousands of people on the web, doing what he does in the book (namely,
writing an off-kilter memoir), and they're doing it just as well as he
does. I still enjoy his writing a good deal - I just didn't buy into the
hype. But you bet I'll be hanging onto my 'galley' copy!!
