uh, don, i don't care how they rationalized using a
name that was part of the black jazz lexicon for a
white man's band. it goes without saying, if you ask
me that names like miles, monk, bird, etc were hardwon
with sweat, genius, and blood and should be
untouchable out of respect for the dignity of the
legends they represent. if ric called his band the
edge, it would be just as inappropriate, although less
offensive. the point is the name's already taken.
