Re: Radiohead & Emmylou Harris
I noticed a couple of people had mentioned that they were caught off guard by
the new Radiohead album. Count me among them too. I knew that Kid A was going
to be different, extremely different, but I didn't know what to expect. I
even read a couple of reviews for it before I bought it, but it really
suprised me. It will take some time before I know whether I like it or not.
My first inclination while listening to it was that it's either pure genius
or just rubbish. I'm hoping the former will be the case. Of course, it took
me a few spins to fall in love with The Bends & OK Computer.
Also, have any of you purchased Emmylou Harris' new cd Red Dirt Girl? I think
it's wonderful. At first I didn't really dig it, but now, I love it. I see it
as a companion piece to Wrecking Ball, because Malcom Burn engineered WB, but
produced this new one. Plus, you've got Buddy & Julie Miller playing on it.
Just wondered if anybody else liked it.
