not really,  you just infer the tense from the context, not really precision
at all.  you usually say something to indicate whether it happened already
or it will happen in the future.

yes, the national standard language of the kitchen help...we would never get
any food anywhere without spanish.  precision is overrated, my goal usually
is to be as vague as possible and leave the interpretation up to the
listener's imagination.

bigger words don't necessarily bring precision, pretension maybe.
