go to your local library.  check out:
   -beatles "srgt pepper's lonely hearts club band"
   -beatles "abbey road"
   -beatles "white album"

give 'em an honest listen.  rinse, repeat.  if you don't
like 'em, oh well.  if you don't see the influence that
they've had on many bands from the '60s to the 2000's, 
well, i can't help you there.
