OtR: East Timor album??

Stephen akses:

>Does anybody know what the 'East Timor' album with the Smoking Popes &
OtR
>on it is? To check it out to go Amazon.com and look up OtR. it says
it's
>being released Feb. 22.

Side note: I learned in my linguistics class recently that not so long,
in England, "ask" and "aks" were actually interchangable pronunciations.
Similar to bird, which used to be brid or something like that. And horse
used to be hross. I find that fascinating.

Also, Linford and Karin used to be Lifnord and Akrin.

But East Timor. Actually, I know exactly what's up with this album. A
year or two ago, the Ball State University chapter of Amnesty
International chose to focus its efforts on East Timor. This was well
before the country made the US national news several months ago. At that
point (before the Timor-in-the-news episode), Chris Lawhorn, a wonderful
human being with a wonderfully creative mind in his own right, decided he
would try to put together a benefit album for East Timor. He aimed high,
and, as you see by the track list, he found a couple of really nice
supporters, including the OtR camp. (Some people came on board only
after the national news story broke and the album began to look like a
good publicity stunt, I think. But OtR was on it right away. Cos OtR is
good people. Not shy at all.) And so. The album comes out next month.
That's the story.

Binkley?
Yes, Opus?
You may have seen Chris playing around the Fort Wayne area as "Ramona and
Beezus."

Quotations:
Travis Vanest to Chris Lawhorn: "What you played tonight really just
exploded my paradigm of what music can be."
Chris: "Oh . . . ah . . . "

other notes:
"I see that your a-list is as big as mine . . . ."

"Lonestar, the ring is bunko--the a-list is in you Lonestar. It's in
you."

Something like that.

I will not eat the a-list.

That is all.
