Re: puppies (not for grilling . . . baking or steaming, perhaps)
hi!
someone asked about dogs, and since i am not in the position to talk about
christian music, but wanna write to the list, this makes me happy! :)
anyway, we have a border collie/black lab mix who is now about 6 years old,
and a big kid! he's like a three year old...he knows he's not allowed to
have people food but he eats it anyway. i'll never forget when he ripped one
of my brother's game player magazines (or so i thought...turned out to be a
player's guide or something) to shreds...it was all over the living room! i
just sorta shook my head and said, "he's gonna kill you. sorry." then i
went to work. :)
teddy is a big loveable dog!
i say go for a mutt from the pound. first of all, you're saving a dog that
wouldn't otherwise have a home from being killed (or, if they're at a no-kill
shelter, from living their life in a cage without someone to love it).
secondly, it's CHEAPER! third of all, you can get a dog that caters to your
needs...most pounds/shelters know if the dogs are good with kids/already
housebroken...whatever you may need. :)
we got teddy from the pound...my dad picked him because he was the only puppy
in the pen to come to him when he called "here, boy!" i got my best friend a
cat from a shelter, too, and he's the most friendly cat i've ever met. i'm a
big advocate, as you can probably tell. :)
good luck!
*hugz and kisses*
