Ha! My recommendation: use virtualdub to strip off the soundtrack into a wav
file, then use Cool Edit to run a noise reduction algorithm on the sound, then
use TMPGEnc to merge the cleaned-up sound back with the video. Improves the
sound quality a *lot*.
My other recommendation: do it *now*, before those corporate idiots get laws
passed to prevent computers from making fair use digital copies of things.
Not to mention letting you copy your *own* digital material.

But they don't separate out Region 2 *only*, do they? At least they didn't
last time I looked there. There seemed to be plenty of stuff in their Region 2
list that was also available in Region 1.
