so glad you're home safe, honey! i know how awful it is to have your stuff
stolen. :(
as my friend elisabeth walked through the streets of paris with three of her
good friends, a guy on a motorcycle drove past and snatched her purse.
thanksfully, the us embassy in italy was able to get a replacement
passport...for $75 dollars!
this makes me cranky...the original passport is $60, and then, if someone
steals it, you're entitled to pay even more the second time around. what if
they had gotten her credit cards and everything, too? luckily she only lost
about $20 and her passport, and the chamber singers all pitched in $1-$2 to
help her out...but that just sucks how we are subjected to the rotten-ness of
humanity and get burned in the process by the government. *sigh*
wow...what happy topics we've been thinking about lately. i don't think i've
thought so much in the past several weeks, though, so thanks. :)
