Re: this inflames me... (no OtR)
FWIW, it does go far, I'll admit, but if someone was going to hijack a plane
tomorrow and kill me and thousand of my fellow citizens, I would want the
government to detain them today. Of course, that implies that the
government knows for sure the person will do this. Sometimes innocent
people get detained, I don't deny that. It would be easier for the gov't if
they could know beyond the shadow of a doubt what a person was going to do,
but if they did, they would have to know us all that well, which would be
worse.
