Not that I make it a competition, but Eugene Carriere is a big favorite of
mine. Gives more life to the monochrome than so many others do with color.
Found him in a bookstore--good friend of Gaugin's. Too bad his work is so
hard to find. None in the Museo del Prado or the Reina Sofia. Well what can
you do...
