Another question.
So we all talk a lot about our favourite word-oriented artists, like
poets and writers and singers, but I don't think I've yet seen this asked
on the list: who's your favourite visual artist? Cos I'm guessing, with
this group, there will probably be some pretty wild answers.
Personally, I fell in love with Albrecht Durer on a sunlit, Spring
afternoon, in a gallery in Madrid years ago. Tragic tale-- he looked
deeply into my eyes, and I stared helplessly into his, but the language
barrier was simply too great for us. Of course, it didn't help that he'd
also been dead over 400 years....
I have others, but I want to hear what y'all have to say, first.
