Rhinelander ball
>Would you like to have this event in Cincinnati? Would you be willing to
>have it in Kent, OH? Would you be willing to travel to Philadelphia? Is
>there somewhere else you'd care to suggest?
For me, it really doesn't matter since I'd be coming from Florida.
>Is Spring/Summer a good time for you, or would you prefer some other time
>of year?
I'm in agreement about doing it after finals. I, like many, have that
careful window of time b/w spring and summer semesters (aka my livelihood).
>What kind of an event would you like to see? Very formal? Moderately
>formal? A Costume Ball? A Theme Ball?
Moderately formal with freedom to be creative if we so desire :)
>What kind of food would you like? Simple hors d'oeuvres? Buffet? A full
>sit-down meal? (Please note: I will NOT be responsible for alcohol. Not if
>you want anything actually drinkable. Asking me to arrange beer, wine, etc.
>would be like asking a rabbit about bicycles. I'm clueless.)
hors d'oeuvres-- one point about alcohol: it too can be expensive. Maybe we
should bring our own or sign up for it...or something.
>What kind of entertainment appeals to you? Our own Lostees? Inviting
>outside talent? If so, whom, do you have any connections to help with this,
>and would you be willing to pay extra for this?
I don't have an opinion here. I just like to "get my groove on."
>Which brings us to the most crucial question: how much would you be willing
>to pay?
about $25.
Would the ball also double as a CD release party for the one and only
tribute in progress? Once a location is decided, maybe we should start
compiling a list of available floors and their capacity to avoid housing
costs. Maybe we could even figure out some carpooling thing. We could do
various migrations :) Disclaimer: amid all of my suggesting, I can't commit
to coming yet.
