i think it's something like:   Linford stopped in a pawn or second hand
shop,  saw this clock and liked it  (maybe it reminded him of one from his
youth??),  so he bought it and it either didn't work from the git-go or it
stopped at this 9:30ish time (i have a clock like that.  worked fine until i
took it backyard camping.  tent moisture musta killed it.  or maybe toto
peed on it.  anyway...).   still running or not,  i guess he still liked the
clock,  now immortalized  (was a clock really mortal to beging with?)
forever on cd's and t-shirts and pop monet websites around the country
(world!).
