RE: New Toad anyone?

As for Toad, I heard they got back together for some short radio interview/
acoustic sets for this collection. It seems odd that they'd try to promote
a "contractual obligation" album like most Greatest Hits CDs are, seeing as
they broke up about a year ago (or thereabouts)...

The radio interview/set was cool. They weren't acoustic, but had the whole
band in one of their home studios in Santa Barbara. One of the stations
here in Portland broadcast a set with them. Though they broke up a year
ago, they are all still friends. They wanted to break up and go their own
ways when they were still at the top. They never originally planned on
going as far as a band as they did, since they started as a high school
band. Now they are working on other ventures. Two of them are in a band
called Lapdog which is rumored to have a new CD out soon. And Glen Phillips
is trying the solo thing. I look forward to hearing both.
