salome is mentioned in the song "should." the quote would be "should i never
dance like salome danced. . . "

here's the story: (those of you who have no interest, move on now)

Herod, the ruler of Israel during the time of Christ, had John the Baptist
arrested. He did this because John had told him it was wrong to have sex
with his (Herod's) brother's wife, Herodias. So, Herod was pretty pissed and
wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of how the people would react because
John was regarded as a prophet. So, at Herod's birthday party, Herodias'
daughter (who was called Salome) was called to dance for the king and his
guests. Herod was so smitten by her that he promised to give her whatever
she wanted. Her mother had given her the instruction to ask for John the
Baptist's head on a platter. Because he had given her his oath in front of
all the guests, Herod was bound to do whatever she asked, so John was
beheaded. His head was brought to Salome, who gave it as a gift to her
mother. Salome was a political pawn whose actions led to the murder of a
saint. Pretty neat, eh? That's the story. It comes from the Bible -
Matthew chapter 14.

Happy to be of assistance.
