Caedmon's Call/Selling Out

Whoa... that stress Kyle mentioned might be right on.  I griped at poor 
Donald about sending us the digest (please accept my public apology for not 
mentioning it to you privately), and Dan's pet peeve happened to be alerted 
by some careless positioning of circumstances.  Now, my excuse is a flu bug, 
but Kyle; I think you've cracked it....

First to address Dan:

-->Indeed.  When I mentioned the days before they became popular, I was only 
giving a circumstantial backdrop.  By the time they were the latest thing, 
it was all played out for me, especially since I'd been listening to them 
since their early days.

-->Bingo, and I don't think that development is unreasonable to expect.  One 
hit wonders are just that, to bring up an extreme example.  To refocus in a 
positive and pertinent matter, one of the most wonderful aspects of OtR is 
that development and exploration that takes them in so many creative arenas 
and produces growth.  In my humble opinion, if you're not growing, you're 
dying (not going forward than probably falling backwards).

Conflict and confrontation are not bad.  Dan, I appreciate your honest 
reaction.  Bumping fine china, as Peter would have it, is merely that fun 
sandpaper that helps mold us a bit finer.  I don't mind being finer.  Thanks 
to all the people who are willing to "rub up against me" (Yikes, do I really 
want the comments from that one?).  From irritation, pearls are formed.
