wow. i feel a lot of deep-seated bitterness and anguish over the
upcoming election, but i need to say something.
you cannot imagine my disappointment when, after rejoicing over the
political "knowledge" displayed in this list, i realize that most of you
posting on this subject can't even spell. i think our campaigns are focused
on the wrong issues. forget taxes, faggots, and unemployment. how will jobs
increase when America can't read and write correctly. lets start from the
ground up.
as for the trustworthiness ( or lack thereof ) of this year's
candidates, lets remember that everyone has skeletons in their closets. if
you didn't vote in the last election, please shut up. you may as well not
exist in any political discussion unless you'll allow us to dig up your
darkest and ugliest secrets and paste them on the cover of every newspaper in
the country.
if we can't discuss this like adults ( which i assume most of us
are), in SOBRIETY and without vulgar language, maybe we should stick to the
brainless subject of music.

Sounds like good old fashioned moral relativity. Be very nice, everything
goes, and nothing matters. I usually quit taking anyone seriously on a list
when one of their main focal points is somebodies spelling. Usually you have
the capability to grasp what the meaning is or make the cognitive grammatical
corrections in your head. It seems pretty anal to expect people to proofread
and correct a posting on a list as if it were a term paper or something.
Everyone doesn't have that time. So lets be kind and PC and discern the
humanity in us all.(right). As far as politicians go,most of the statements
and criticisms seem right on target. Politicians are whores. We live in a
country where are vote always takes a back seat to special interests. The
number one issue in this country is campaign finance reform. Without that we
will continue to see these things happen and nothing will be solved. The
political bribery by these groups is a poison in our world. So if some people
are pissed and want to attack candidates,so be it. This country was founded
by radicals and dissidents and people that wouldn't accept the status quo and
were willing to sacrifice themselves and the oppressors.

I am not blind to the shortcomings of our own people. I am not unaware that
leaders betray, and sell out, and play false. But this knowledge does not
outweigh the fact that my class, the working class, is exploited, driven,
fought back with the weapon of starvation, with guns and with venal courts
whenever they strike for conditions more human, more civilized for their
children, and for their children's children.

Being polite will be the demise of our country. Say it,mean it, speak it and
sleep well at night.

I hope I spelled everything right. God knows I don't want to be the one that
tilts the balance of America so that it falls off the edge into it's
assured demise.
