star wars
Dear Amy,
>um, do you speak Spanish? that could be a reason you know. ;-) and
>why did you watch it?
Yes, I speak Spanish. It was dubbed, rather than merely subtitled. As
a kids movie, it makes sense.
I don't really know how watching it in Spanish affected my view of
it, not that after seeing it before and hearing about it all my life
has left me ignorant of what the thing is about. What I do know is
that I didn't feel terribly attached to any character. They all
seemed like comic book characters.
>The feel I got from your email was if you like this movie you are a
>dork. and no one on the list likes being degraded. We havne't said
>anyone was crazy not to like it.
Anyways, I don't think you are a dork for liking Star Wars. And you,
like others, have done a fine job of defending your appreciation for
the movie.
I am probably more of the dork for not liking it. Neither do I like
bungee jumping, mountain biking, or roller coasters, or other kinetic
thrills that much.
