exactly my thing. i'm a singer. i wanna sing along, just like i do with
*everything* i hear.

imagine my horror when i heard rachmaninoff's *vocalise* done by a string
quartet. *shudder*

anyway, mark, i maybe i don't appreciate genuis as much as i should. but you
know what? i don't really care about art (ok, it's a pretty picture, let's
go now) and i have never liked shakespeare. i love music. i love singing.
*that* is what i'm passionate about.

maybe it's because i'm more into musical theatre than anything else (stephen
schwartz's _children of eden_ has been in my stereo almost non-stop for a
week now, and my dad keeps yelling at me that i'm going to wear out his
cd...is that possible?), and impeccable diction is the most important thing.
i love listening to people like barbra streisand and bernadette peters. so,
maybe they ruin the artistic style for me.

and dana, i can usually understand ani. but then, she doesn't have the voice
that karin does.

one thing i *do* understand is that the english language, although the first
language for most of us (on the list anyway), is the hardest language to
enunciate. not that i'm using that as an excuse.

sorry for that. i wanted to respond to mark last night and just couldn't.
