ugh.
what's worse, bashing alanis morrisette or bashing the people who bash
alanis morrisette? whether or not her "enlightenment" is real or not is
not so much an issue as why she chose turn it into a pitch for her newest
album. if that's spirituality to her, then pity, not my dollars, are all
she's going to get.
i don't have a problem with buying an album 'cause you can tap your foot
to it. however, i think that it's a waste of your time to defend the
character of an artist who's so covered in hype and hogwash that it is a
wonder that a person still exists underneath. there are far more
believable ways to go about personal expression. it's funny; the
messages carried by the artists with the biggest bucks behind them are
often the cheapest.
