here we go again...
but i just can't resist picking a side (hi chris!).
i just wish that in all of the people who insist on calling over the rhine a
christian band, ONE of them would find a quote to back themselves up.
it is one thing for us to discuss possible interpretations of a song or
whatever, but for either side to say they *know* what over the rhine's motives
are without proof is just silly.  it's only conjecture.  the reason i am
confident in this side is that over the rhine has said repeatedly that they do
not want to be known as a christian band, the same thing that ric said about
his band.  that says nothing about any of either band's members' personal
beliefs.
