above the lion's roar.

at Cornerstone, Karin mentioned how they would be backing the Junkies...
Karin and Terri on vocals.
Linford on keys.
Jack on guitar.
and perhaps Brian on percussion.
so it's not just a K & L thing. though i get the impression that K & L
will be involved in more songs than the others.
i don't know if it is every song, but i really do think that OtR is going
to play a major part with the Cowboy Junkies.
so it is more than likely that they will appear on Letterman and GMA.
as far as what they should play...
my question is always, "why not "sleep baby jane"??? why? why?
why??????????". okay so i like the song a lot. but i think it would be
*very* well received by a lot of people who are into different styles of
music.
whether you like GDBD or not, everyone has to admit it is in OtR's best
interests to play a substantial amount from that album, since it is their
latest "normal" cd... [as in not a Christmas or b-sides album]. if i were
them i'd play "the seahorse", "latter days", "jack's valentine" and
"faithfully dangerous", at least, and then mix it in with quite a bit of
new stuff and maybe two older or Besides songs [my picks would be "lucy"
and "sleep baby jane" but considering they'd never play "sbj" i'd say
"and can it be" seems to work well.] but. for all i know they will only
get to play five songs or something... i think what they are playing
right now is something that caters to those who have never heard OtR. but
obviously they are going to have to shorten it a bit.
but i never know what i am talking about anyways.
