being shy is nothing new

we've all been there.

and yea, there's been years where, i was the new quiet wierd looking shy
kid 6 times in a school year.

so i know *teeny* about being new.

you either:

speak up, get laughed at, but find some friends
keep quiet and hide

i did both, and i can't tell you which was more rewarding, but i have
certainly learned you gotta say 'hey' once in a while, and grin if you're
gonna find out if people will let you in.

it's like that posturing dogs and wolves do.

hey, i'm likable, i wag my tail, ilook like a puppy, i roll ove ron my
belly - like me like me

then you get to play.

ok, that was simplistic (:

nothing like a little transparency, though, to help out a friendship.

i used to be stoic, hard to read.

then i met n fell in love with dave. now i can't sneak anythign by him to
surprise him - he knows that i'm up to something. it's funny, and funny.

he doesn't mind, it's like those giddy surprises you know are coming. but,
geesh - when did i turn so transparent?

all that to say, take a chance once in a while.

you might be surprised.
