I remember saying "hi", too, and feeling kind of silly about it...  but
when you finally get to meet the being you've been carrying around inside
you for nine months, it's hard to figure out what else to say.  :)

My son Ben turned 13 this month, and (have I mentioned this enough yet?)
is taller than I am.  Full blown teenager, with all the attendant joys and
irritations.

He brought me a book two weeks ago and said "You should read this... it's
really good."  (Eragon; Christopher Paolini... and he's right, it was
good!)

My kid is recommending books to me.

Just when you think it *has* sunk in, some new wonder happens and you're
awed all over again.
