shows / p*rn / ensemble movies / OtR last night @ CEAs

1. yes, they're playing shows again. there's no need for an
announcement... they only said that they were postponing their *FALL
TOUR*. <slap> pay attention, people. </slap>

2. p*rn is fun sometimes. it shouldn't be substituted for the real
thing, though. kelvin's got good points about people with addictions to
it... but i don't think it should be outlawed, per se. the way europe
handles it seems more mature than the way the US handles it. the US is
dumb on many counts, though. the asterisk only added so i don't get in
trouble at w*rk.

3. movies with all-around great performances (ie- an "ensemble" for the
interviewer lady at the CEAs)... um... American Beauty, Fargo, Good Will
Hunting, Magnolia, In the Name of the Father (though it was more of a
Daniel-Day Lewis-centric movie- Pete Postlethwaite played his father
superbly), Moulin Rouge, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Oceans Eleven (both
versions, but I like the new version better for plot), Usual Suspects,
Amanda and the Alien, and Lovers Caught on Tape Volume 2 (for p*rn
content).

4. OtR accepted the CEA Hall of Fame award last night graciously. the
night's performances and awards were only "alright" up until that point,
and we left shortly thereafter. Karin clutched her phallic award and
thanked the crowd... then she played "Ohio" on piano while Linford went
into the award-winner reception area. all-in-all a good show... who won
the artist of the year? album of the year? i can't find it on the CEA
website at this time... i hope either OtR or Jason Ludwig won...
