do people actually care what RS reviews say, good or bad, in the last 15 years or so? I'm not sure. Maybe. They seem pretty much like filler pages to me except for that one on the first page where the band gets a nice size write up. Although I haven't even looked at a RS rag in the last few years so who am I to say.  Just a gut feeling.
I still remember them saying "dark side of the moon" was a pile of crap back when it came out. Didn't seem to hurt sales in the least.
Now if there was an article/interview about them in RS that'd be a different story. Probably sell them a few thousand. A couple hundred thousand if they were on the cover. Of course, Karin would probably have to dress like Britney to get on the cover.

>there probably isn't a single major media source that ain't sleazy or lame,

how true, I just subscribed, (accidentally mind you, I was thinking of another mag and it was a charity thing I do every year) to Warhol's Interview mag. As far as I can tell it's a magazine whose main purpose is to sell clothing, perfume, watches, etc., advance the career of models, and to reassure us that the only musicians/actors/writers worth a grain of salt are beautiful people with pouty lips that look good in skimpy clothing. Of my first 3 issues I've found maybe 3-4 pages if readable material.
