Re: Thinking of the back roads...



that's an incredible drive through the shenandoah
valley, and i probably didn't even cover the best
part(s).  i took the wheel a couple times in my teens
going to visit my brother in harrisonburg -- the back
way that skirts through west virginia.  some scary
roads :)

new england in the fall at peak folliage is something
to behold.  we had some pretty intense autumns in
south jersey when i was little, but the brilliance of
driving from southeast connecticut to boston in the
early 90s was incomparable.  at times, it could really
feel like the sky was on fire.
