Re: all music guide OHIO review

Good grief. My reviews frequently need an editor and a spellchecker, but this All Music review is pretty sloppy.

Jurek's one of my favorite critics, but he sure uses a lot of space in this review merely to say "It doesn't sound very spontaneous." Hmmmm.

He has also lately been trying to convince us that the spirituality of some Christian musicians is "not necessarily Christian." He did that with Bruce Cockburn's latest, and now he's saying, "And it makes no difference if you are a Christian, Buddhist or an atheist; the word "spiritual;" is defined within the context of this album as the desire to come to grips with one's own hollowness and longing."

Well, perhaps, but Jesus is mentioned all over the place as the subject of the longing, and I don't hear any mention of Buddha or a desire for oblivion...

And how about this: "The secret and the gospel—not Christ's, OTR's—are ready to embrace the truth if the truth is willing to receive the song's protagonist as she is." I've read that sentence several times and I'm still not sure what it means.
