I LOVE this book!  I once gave a paper at a conference about the friendship 
between Lewis Carroll and George MacDonald and his family...it was a lot of 
fun.

Martin Gardner did an amazing job.  I loved learning about the in-jokes and 
math problems hidden throughout Carroll's work...  Check out his edition of 
The Hunting of the Snark!
